What is collected, and how it is kept apart

Your answers are stored without a name, an account, or anything that identifies you. They are held under a random reference that exists only so your own answers stay together as one set.

Before the questions begin you are asked for your name and email so your Career Freedom Report can be sent to you. These are required to take part. Your contact details, including any Instagram or LinkedIn details added at the end, are stored in a separate place from your answers.

The two are only joined together if you explicitly say yes to being followed up with. If you say no, your contact details are stored with no link at all to what you wrote.

Why it is collected

Your answers are used to produce aggregate research findings about women's experience at work. Individual answers are never published or shared in a way that identifies anyone.

Your email is used to send your personal Career Freedom Report. If you separately choose the newsletter option, it is also used to send the Women Who Lead newsletter and early sight of the findings. Nothing is sold, rented, or passed to advertisers.

The basis for using it

Consent. By continuing from the opening information screen, you consent to take part in the research and receive your personal report by email. Taking part is voluntary and every research question is optional. The mailing list, direct follow up and recorded conversation remain three separate choices you make yourself.

You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing does not affect anything already done before you withdrew.

Artificial intelligence

If you answer by voice, the recording is sent to an AI service to be transcribed and tidied into readable text. The audio is not stored after that; only the text you see and can edit is kept.

The short reflections shown partway through, and the Career Freedom Report shown at the end, are written by an AI model from the answers you gave in that session.

For the research itself, answers may be summarised by AI to help identify themes across everyone who took part. No contact details are ever sent to any AI service.

How long it is kept

Anonymous answers are kept for as long as the research and its published findings are active, and no longer than three years from collection.

Contact details are kept until you ask to be removed, or until you unsubscribe from the mailing list.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the contact details held about you, ask for them to be corrected, ask for them to be deleted, or ask to be taken off the mailing list. Write to ruth@ourtimetobloom.com and it will be dealt with within one month.

There is one honest limit worth stating plainly. Because answers are stored anonymously, there is nothing tying a set of answers back to you, so once they are submitted they cannot be found again to show you or to delete individually. If you would like your answers removed, contact the address above as soon as possible with the date and rough time you took part, and any that can be identified with confidence will be removed.

If you are in the UK or the EU and you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Security

Answers and contact details are stored in a managed database that is not readable from the browser. Nothing is exposed publicly, and access is limited to the people running the research.
